Open forum: Everyone wins with hospital’s plans

Washington Adventist Hospital’s plans to relocate the hospital to a new site and redevelop its current Takoma Park campus represent an important development for our community.

The hospital, which just celebrated its 100th anniversary, is planning proactively to ensure it can continue to serve the community for the next 100 years. The reuse of the current Takoma Park campus for health care services and other community services is an opportunity to take an important and historic piece of property and make its use compatible with our community’s needs.

This plan is a win⁄win for all concerned.
