The Plamondon Cos. of Frederick named Katrina Wyand-Yurish director of human resources. Previously, Wyand-Yurish worked for Farmers & Mechanics Bank and PNC Financial Services Group. Also, Gregory Seymoure was named director of operations for the company's Roy Rogers Restaurants. Previously, Seymoure was director of operations at McDonald's and vice president of operations at Boston Market. He also worked for Wild Oats Market, Friendly's Ice Cream and a Panera Bread franchise.

Emergent BioSolutions of Rockville named Steven Chatfield senior vice president, biodefense. Previously, Chatfield was executive director of the U.K. Health Protection Agency. Earlier, he was chief scientific officer at Emergent and also worked for Microscience, Medeva, Evans Medical, Wellcome Biotechnology and the Wellcome Foundation.

Discovery Communications of Silver Spring named COO Mark Hollinger president and CEO of Discovery Networks International, succeeding Greg Ricca. Hollinger joined Discovery in 1991 as vice president and deputy general counsel. Previously, he was a senior associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and lectured on entertainment law at Columbia Law School.

Cal Sutphin of Braden Sutphin Ink in Savage and Art Stowe, former president of the Printing and Graphics Association Mid-Atlantic, were inducted into the Ben Franklin Honor Society of the Printing Industries of America.
