Metropolitan police investigating homicide, seeking tips
A girl found dead Monday afternoon in a Northwest Washington, D.C., trash bin has been identified as a 17-year-old Capitol Heights girl.
The girl was identified as Ebony Franklin of the 4600 block of Pistachio Lane, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, which is investigating her death as a homicide.
Franklin's body was found in a trash bin in an alley behind the 1000 block of Fairmount Street.
Metropolitan police officials would not say the cause of her death or how long they believed Franklin had been dead.
No number was listed for Franklin's family.
