Silver Spring man hit by car

A 19-year-old Silver Spring man was hit early Sunday morning by a car, according to Montgomery County Police, who said the victim apparently ran into traffic.

Julio Pereria Serafim, 19, of the 14300 block of Longreen Drive was struck about 4 a.m. in the 14200 block of Georgia Avenue by a 2003 Ford driven by David Adjei, 27, of the 14200 block of Georgia Avenue.

Police said Serafim was not in a crosswalk. Adjei remained at the scene and called police.

Police said Serafim sustained life-threatening injuries, but did not have an update of his condition as of Monday morning.
