Late basket lifts Queen Anne to victory
Boys' team improves to 2-0 after beating Avalon 68-66
The Queen Anne School boys' basketball team improved to 2-0 in dramatic fashion on Monday afternoon with a 68-66 victory against Avalon. Lions' captain Edmond Wright scored 26 points, the last two of which came on the game-winning jumper with 2.9 seconds to go. Larry Haley finished with 13 points and Lloyd Bramble added 12. The Lions are back in action at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday at home against Hebrew Academy.
