Margaret Pate
Margaret Irene Pate, 87, of Port Tobacco, a longtime member of St. John's Rectory in Clinton, died Nov. 11.
Born Feb. 12, 1922, in Accokeek, Mrs. Pate was the daughter of the late George Robert Coomes and the late Etta Irene Hart Coomes Rennoe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Andrew "Buck" Ennoe; husband Robert H. Pate; son Robert Carl Pate; brother Raymond Coomes; and sisters Rhonda Logan and Lillian Paddie.
Mrs. Pate, a lifelong resident of Southern Maryland, retired after more than 35 years of service at St. John's. She also was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata, with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf.
