Kettells mark 70 years
Durward and Margaret Kettells celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18, 2009. The couple hosted a dinner at Dutch's Daughter restaurant for family and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Kettells are the parents of Sharon Hawkins of Beltsville and Jean Glover and husband Greg of Frederick. They have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The couple was married Aug. 18, 1939 at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Walkersville by the Rev. John Fisher. Best man was brother Warren Kettells and maid of honor was Warren Kettells' wife, Easter Crum Kettells, also of Walkersville. A small reception followed at the home of the bride in Walkersville.
