Lura V. Wolfinger
Lura Viola Wolfinger, 84, of Middletown, died Nov. 13, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gerald E. Wolfinger.
Born Jan. 4, 1925, in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Gerald P. and Gwengela Burnham Tripp.
She was a longtime resident of Middletown and member of the Frederick Seventh-Day Adventist Church. After 20 years of service, Mrs. Wolfinger retired from the Review and Herald Publishing Association, Hagerstown.
She is survived by son Dennis Wolfinger and wife Judy of Frederick; daughter Marcia Duling and husband Jeffrey of Keymar; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers Ernest and Lowell Tripp; sisters Mildred Graves and Trudy Schoelkoph and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sister Muriel Dorland Lawrence, and brothers Luther and Richard Tripp.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Frederick Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 6437 Jefferson Pike. The Rev. Roger Mace will officiate.
