County police report
The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
- On Nov. 2 between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., in the 13100 block of Brandon Way Road in Germantown. The victim and her boyfriend were arguing when the suspect hit the victim in her arm with a metal pipe. The suspect then continued to beat the victim with his hands. The suspect fled before Montgomery County police arrived.
Strong-arm robbery
- On Oct. 26 between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., in the 20400 block of Foxwood Terrace in Germantown. The adult male victim stated he was walking up his driveway when the suspects approached, knocked him to the ground and took his backpack. Suspect No. 1 was described as a white male, 30-35, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 250 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as a Hispanic male, 30-35.
- On Oct. 31 at 10:15 p.m. at White Saddle Road and Middlebrook Road in Germantown. The adult male victim was walking with a friend when the suspects approached. Suspect No. 1 assaulted the victim and was able to flee with the victim's property. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 17-20, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170 pounds. No description of remaining suspects.
- On Oct. 31 at 11:26 p.m., at Pinnacle Drive and Century Boulevard in Germantown. The victim and friends were in the parking garage when the suspects approached. Suspects demanded property and took a video camera. The victim chased the suspects and was assaulted. Two 16-year-old males from Gaithersburg were located and arrested.
Vehicle theft
- 10100 block of Shelldrake Circle in Damascus, overnight between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. 2000 4-door Honda Civic stolen.
Vehicle larceny
- 11000 block of Cross Laurel Drive in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, GPS taken.
- 20700 block of Summer Sweet Terrace in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, purse/wallet taken.
- 19500 block of Twinflower Circle in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Broke window, DVD, Nintendo DS system taken.
- 11000 block of Cross Laurel Drive in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, coins taken.
- 11000 block of Cross Laurel Court in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Broke window, camera taken.
- 11300 block of Bent Creek Terrace in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, tool box taken.
- 11300 block of Bent Creek Terrace in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, nothing reported missing.
- 11700 block of Doxdam Terrace in Germantown, on Oct. 29. Vehicle left unlocked, GPS taken.
- 18300 block of Thundercloud Road in Boyds, between Nov. 1 and Nov. 2. Entry made by breaking the vehicle's sunroof, purse taken.
- 17100 block of Spates Hill Road in Poolesville, between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Nov. 2. Suspects vandalized a Montgomery County police vehicle while parked overnight. Neighbors observed the suspects and vehicles. The suspects were described as three white males, 17-20, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 130-150 pounds. The suspect vehicle was described as a late 1990's red van.
Residential burglary
- 11000 block of Cross Laurel Drive in Germantown, on Oct. 29. While the complainant slept, suspects entered the residence and removed property.
- 13500 block of Winterspoon Lane in Germantown, between 3:40 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 27. Entry through open garage, bicycle taken.
- 18500 block of Split Rock Lane in Germantown, at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. The victim observed four suspects trying to break into his home. As soon as the suspects realized the victim was watching them they fled. Four males, 14-16 years old from Germantown, were apprehended and arrested after a short foot pursuit.
- 18600 block of Black Kettle Court in Boyds, between midnight and 6 a.m. on Nov. 2. The victim awoke to find no signs of forced entry, property reported missing.
