County police report
The following is a summary of incidents in the 1st District (Rockville) and the 4th District (Wheaton-Glenmont) to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
1st District
Aggravated assault
-On Nov. 2 between 5 and 6 a.m., in the 10800 block of Old Coach Road in Potomac. The suspect is known.
Indecent Exposure
-On Oct. 28 at 4:40 a.m., near the 300 block of Redland Road in Rockville. A woman reported a male standing on the sidewalk exposing himself. The victim did not contact officers until the next day.
-On Oct. 27 between 10:05 and 10:50 a.m., at Glenview Mansion, 603 Edmonston Drive in Rockville. A woman said a known suspect exposed himself and assaulted her.
Attempted strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 31 between 3 and 3:40 a.m., at Somerville and Redland roads in Rockville. A man walking from the Shady Grove Metro passed five to seven males at the bus stop. Three of the males assaulted him from behind and knocked him down. The victim fled on foot.
Vehicle larceny
-11800 block of Selfridge Road in Wheaton, between 2:15 and 2:24 a.m. Oct. 26 and between 7 p.m. Nov 1 and 5:55 a.m. Nov. 2. Four wheels taken from two vehicles.
Residential burglary
-4500 block of Hornbeam Drive in Rockville, between 1:05 and 2:03 p.m. Oct. 31. Forced entry; nothing taken. One suspect is described as a black female, 18-20, 5 feet 4 inches tall, heavy build, wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. Two others are described only as black males. The suspect vehicle is described as a white four-door.
-1000 block of Maple Avenue in Rockville, at 2:41 p.m. Nov. 1. Unknown entry; property taken.
-15500 block of Scotch Heather Court in Rockville, at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 3. Attempted forced entry.
-5800 block of Wainwright Avenue in Rockville, at 2:54 p.m. Nov. 3. Forced entry; property taken. Two 11-year-old males and one 12-year- old male were arrested later that day.
-200 block of Ashley Avenue in Rockville, at 11:09 p.m. Nov. 3. Forced entry; nothing taken. The suspect is known.
-16100 block of Crabbs Branch Way in Rockville, at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 29. Domestic related.
-10400 block of Gainsborough Road in Rockville, between 9 p.m. Oct. 26 and 7 a.m. Oct. 27. No forced entry; property taken.
-7000 block of Masters Drive in Rockville, at 7:04 a.m. Nov. 2. Forced entry to garage; unknown if property was taken.
-14500 block of Whirlaway Lane in Potomac, at 9:06 p.m. Oct. 30. No forced entry to garage; no property taken. Suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored SUV.
-15000 block of Springfield Road in Darnestown, between 7:45 and 10:48 p.m. Oct. 31. No forced entry; property taken.
-13500 block of Travilah Road in Potomac, between 10:01 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. Nov. 3. Forced entry; property taken.
4th District
Aggravated assault
-On Oct. 31 at 7:54 p.m., in the unit block of Norwood Road in Colesville. Domestic related. A 31-year-old male was arrested.
-On Oct. 31 at 2:55 a.m. at the 7-Eleven, 11445 Amherst Ave. in Wheaton. A man was injured by another man. The suspect is described as Hispanic, 25, 5 feet 4 inches tall, thin build, spiky hair.
Armed robbery
-On Oct. 29 at 9:15 p.m., at Ledos Pizza, 3482 Olney-Laytonsville Road in Olney. Two men entered without force, threatened victims and stole cash.
-On Oct. 27 at 3:10 p.m., on the pedestrian bridge over Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton .A male juvenile was accosted by two males who removed his property.
Attempted strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 27 at 3 p.m., at Barbara and Weller roads in Wheaton. The victim was able to flee from a male.
Strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 30 at 1:11 a.m., in the area of Bel Pre Road and Weeping Willow Drive in Aspen Hill .Two men took property.
-On Oct. 27 at 3:13 p.m., at McDonald's, 13701 Connecticut Ave. in Aspen Hill. Property taken. A 19-year-old male and a 14-year-old male from Olney were arrested.
-On Oct. 30 at noon, at the Wheaton Metro station. A man was attacked and his property was taken.
Vehicle larceny
-17700 block of Tree Lawn Drive in Ashton, overnight between Nov. 1 and 2. Multiple vehicles targeted. Forced entry; property taken in most instances.
-Olney area, overnight between Oct. 28 and 29 and between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. Multiple vehicles targeted, forced and unforced entries; property taken.
Commercial burglary
-Uncle Dave's Restaurant, 5500 Olney-Laytonsville Road in Olney, at 2:18 a.m. Oct. 28. Forced entry; nothing taken.
Residential burglary
-Unit block of Silver Moon Drive in Colesville, between 7:50 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Forced entry; property taken. A 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male were arrested.
-1400 block of Silo Way in Colesville, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 26. Forced entry; property, cash taken.
-19800 block of Tanbark Way in Brinklow, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26. No force entry; property taken.
-19400 block of Prospect Court in Brookeville, at 11 p.m. Nov. 2. Unknown entry; nothing taken.
-17400 block of Gallagher Way in Olney, on Oct. 28. Forced entry; nothing taken
-12500 block of Farnell Drive in Wheaton, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Oct. 28. Attempt only.
