Phillip L. Felts, Esq., 63, of Germantown died Oct. 23, 2009.

Born May 14, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, he was the husband of Jean Felts for 41 years.

Mr. Felts served with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during battle.

Mr. Felts graduated from Georgetown University and the University of Baltimore Law School. He practiced law in Maryland and Washington, D.C., for 34 years. His hobbies included fishing and golf.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Lauren Hornsby of Richardson, Texas, and Samantha Ladewig of Tonawanda, N.Y.; two brothers, John Felts of Corpus Christi, Texas and Don Felts of San Augustine, Texas; one sister, Susan Payne of Broaddus, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Burial with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 19 in Arlington National Cemetery.

Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Rockville handled arrangements.
