County police reports
The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and/or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Home invasion burglary
- On Oct. 30 at 8:20 p.m., in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard in Gaithersburg. Two suspects forced their way into the residence, nothing taken.
Rape
- On Oct. 29 at noon at the Motel 6, 497 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg. The employee victim was cleaning when the suspect entered the room, disrobed her, and forced sex. Before fleeing the suspect asked the victim if she had any money and stole her bracelet. The suspect was described as a black male, 25-35, 200-230 pounds, mustache, ski mask. The suspect vehicle was described as a green, 4-door Honda Accord.
Vehicle larceny
- 900 block of Beacon Square Court in Gaithersburg, between Oct. 28 and Oct. 29. Broke window, wallet, GPS taken.
- 1000 block of Southern Night Lane in Gaithersburg, on Oct. 28. Forced entry, tools taken.
- 19200 block of Montgomery Village Avenue in Montgomery Village, on Oct. 28. Vehicle left unlocked, laptop computer taken.
- 9300 block of Broadwater Drive in Gaithersburg, on Oct. 29. Broke window, coins taken.
- Area of Clubhouse Road and Brassie Place in Montgomery Village, on Oct. 27. Forced entry, nothing taken.
Commercial burglary
- Mac Business Solutions, 9057 Gaither Road in Gaithersburg, between 12:15 a.m. and 12:21 a.m. Oct. 28. When the alarm sounded, responding officers found the front door smashed.
- U-Haul Storage, 7831 Beechcraft Ave. in Gaithersburg, between Oct. 26 and Oct. 27. Forced entry, property taken.
- Regency Cab, 8201 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg, on Oct. 27. Forced entry, property taken.
- Squared Solutions, 7583 Rickenbacker Drive in Gaithersburg, on Oct. 28. Forced entry, property taken.
Residential burglary
- 400 block of West Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg, between 6:20 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 29. No sign of forced entry, apartment ransacked.
- 300 block of West Deer Park Road in Gaithersburg, between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Oct. 27. No signs of forced entry, property reported missing.
