County Police Report
The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
5th District
Aggravated assault
-On Nov. 2 between 2:30 and 3 a.m., in the 13100 block of Brandon Way Road in Germantown. A woman and her boyfriend were arguing when he hit her on the arm with a metal pipe. He fled before police arrived.
Strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 26 between 11 and 11:30 p.m., in the 20400 block of Foxwood Terrace in Germantown. A man stated he was walking up his driveway when two men approached, knocked him to the ground and took his backpack.
-On Oct. 31 at 10:15 p.m., at White Saddle and Middlebrook roads in Germantown. A man was walking with a friend when he was assaulted and his property taken. The attackers fled.
-On Oct. 31 at 11:26 p.m., at Pinnacle Drive and Century Boulevard in Germantown. The victim and friends were in the parking garage when they were approached by two young men who demanded property and took a video camera. The victim chased the young men and was assaulted. Two 16-year-olds from Gaithersburg were located a short distance away and arrested.
Vehicle theft
-10100 block of Shelldrake Circle in Damascus, overnight between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. A 2000 four-door Honda Civic was stolen.
Vehicle larceny
-17100 block of Spates Hill Road in Poolesville, between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Nov. 2. A county police vehicle that was parked overnight was vandalized. Neighbors observed the vandals and their vehicle, which is described as a late 1990s red van.
Residential burglary
-11000 block of Cross Laurel Drive in Germantown, on Oct. 29. While the resident slept, home entered and property removed.
