D.C. man shot in Greenbelt on Friday night dies

A Washington, D.C., man who was shot Friday night in Greenbelt has died, Greenbelt police said Saturday.
Police responded at about 10:55 p.m. Friday to a call of a reported shooting outside of the Springhill Lake Community Center, in the 6100 block of Cherrywood Lane, said police spokeswoman Kelly Lawson. They found Michael Valentine Randall, 24, of the District suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Randall was taken to the trauma center at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, where he later died.
Police are still investigating the shooting and Lawson declined to provide any further information on the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the city's Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-542-2133.
