Woman found in Gaithersburg woods committed suicide

A passerby discovered the body of a woman who had committed suicide in Gaithersburg on Saturday morning, said Sgt. Rudy Wagner, a spokesman for the Gaithersburg Police Department.

City police responded to a wooded area near the 200 block of Booth Street around 11:45 a.m. where they found the woman deceased on the ground, police said.

Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Lucille Baur would not release the name or age of the woman, who has been identified.
