Woods offer seclusion in Upper Marlboro

The breakfast room of this Upper Marlboro home doubles as a sun room with plenty of windows.

Surrounded by a long and winding driveway, a yard filled with tall trees, and woodland, this Upper Marlboro home can feel like it's in a world by itself.
The walls of the house are covered with white siding, with a picket fence lining the back yard, dividing it from the woods. A veranda lines the front of the home, with space for sitting and relaxing, overlooking the wooded front yard.
The kitchen has a ceramic tile floor and hardwood cabinets. There is a pantry to one side and a metal work light fixture hangs over the center island. The end of the kitchen opens out, with a gas fireplace against the far wall next to the sun room, which is a long open room lined entirely with windows.
The space for the sun room doubles back next to the kitchen, and the end opens out into the back yard. A patio made of brick and cement lines the back of the home.

The second floor holds the home's bedrooms. Two of these are simple rooms with plenty of space and large closets. The master bedroom is larger, with a walk-in closet, and a full-sized office room attached. The office has its own door out to the hallway for quick access.
The private master bathroom has patterned ceramic tiles which are reddish in color. The room sports a whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, as well as dual sinks.
The final bedroom is something of a guest suite. It's as spacious as the master bedroom, with a large closet as well. There are small nooks near the windows, and in between them are short storage spaces. There is a door opening out to a set of wooden stairs leading down to the driveway.
Hallway double doors open into the laundry room, which has shelves and a rod for hanging clothes as well as a sink. There is also a full hall bathroom with a combined shower and bath.
