First Saturday to host a holiday open house
The Downtown Frederick Partnership will kick off the holiday season with a Downtown Open House from 59 p.m. during November's First Saturday throughout downtown Frederick.
Free carriage rides, provided by Flights of Fancy and Downtown Frederick Partnership, will depart between 4 and 8:30 p.m. from East Church Street next to Flights of Fancy in Everedy Square.
Free hot cocoa will also be provided from 59 p.m. at 44 N. Market St. and at 110 E Patrick St. in front of the administrative office of the C. Burr Artz Library.
Downtown Frederick Partnership 20th Anniversary limited edition illuminated snow globes, created by Inkthis, will be for sale near the Market Street hot cocoa stand. Proceeds benefit the Partnership.
Holiday carols, courtesy of the Sweet Adelines, can be heard at 112 E. Patrick St., while musician Bob Sima will return to perform from 6-9 p.m. in front of 14 S. Market Street.
Not to be missed, ilyAIMY will perform from 6-9 p.m. on the patio of Brewer's Alley, 124 N. Market St.
Other musical performances throughout downtown include holiday music by Prophets of the Abstract Truth, men's a capella group The Echo's, Hard Swimmin' Fish, and finger-style country & blues ragtime by Frank Davis and special friends, Dawg Bluz.
