The following is a summary of incidents in Silver Spring to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

- On Oct. 14 at 4:43 a.m. in the 1900 block of Lyttonsvillle Road in Silver Spring, the suspect struck the victim with a household object then fled but was detained by responding officers. A 44-year-old male from an unconfirmed address was arrested.

- On Oct. 17 at 3:18 p.m. in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak, a suspect attacked fire-and-rescue personnel who were responding to a report of smoke in a building. The firefighters were able to flee without injury. A 28-year-old male from White Oak was arrested.

Assault

- On Oct. 13 at 3:35 a.m. in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak, a man forced entry and assaulted the victim. The suspect fled the residence.

Firearms violation

- On Oct. 16 at 11:53 p.m. in the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle in White Oak, a man fired shots from a vehicle and fled from the area. The suspect vehicle was described as a white Chevy or PT Cruiser.

- On Oct. 19 at 7:59 p.m. in the 11600 block of Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring, an armed 21-year-old male from Silver Spring was located in the area and arrested.

Attempted robbery/aggravated assault

- On Oct. 20 at 1:15 a.m. in the area of 11th Avenue and Navahoe Drive in Silver Spring, two men accosted two victims, no property taken.

Armed robbery

- On Oct. 17 at 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring, two suspects, armed with knives, accosted the victim and took cash. The suspects fled on foot.

- On Oct. 20 at 12:48 a.m. in the 1400 block of Castle Boulevard in Fairland, two suspects accosted the victim and obtained cash, after which the suspects fled on foot. A 19-year-old male from Gaithersburg and a male from Laurel were arrested.

Vehicle larceny

- Bradford Road, Cedar Street, Haywood Drive, Dennis Avenue, Warren Street, East Indian Springs Drive, 2nd Ave, Sterling Road, Lansdowne Way, Belvedere Boulevard and Hildarose Drive in Silver Spring, between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15. Multiple vehicles were broken into, property taken.

- Agate Drive, Falling Creek Court, Hidden Valley Lane, Old Columbia Pike, Serpentine Terrace, Aquamarine Terrace, Featherwood Terrace, December Drive, Alabaster Drive, and Mica Court in Fairland-White Oak, between the late overnight between Oct. 14 and Oct. 16. Multiple vehicles were broken into, property taken.

Residential burglary

- 600 block of Buckingham Drive in Silver Spring, at 9 a.m. Oct. 13. The suspects attempted to forcibly enter the residence but fled on foot when they were noticed by the intended victim.

- 1400 block of Stateside Drive in Silver Spring, between 8 a.m. Oct. 13 and 9:45 a.m. Oct. 14. No forced entry, residence partially ransacked, property taken.

- 1400 block of Stateside Drive in Silver Spring at 3:56 p.m. Oct. 14. The victim confronted the suspect, who fled on foot.

- 10600 block of Lockridge Drive, between 10:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 14. Forced entry, property taken.

- 11000 block of Oakwood Street in White Oak, between 8:20 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. on Oct. 14. Forced entry, property and cash taken.

- 300 block of Southampton Drive in Silver Spring, between 8 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 16. No forced entry, property and cash taken.

- 1700 block of Featherwood Street, at 12:59 p.m. on Oct. 14. No forced entry, suspects fled on foot when observed by the victim.

- 1600 block of Carriage House Terrace, White Oak, between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 15. Unknown entry, property taken.

- 4200 block of Red Cedar Lane in Burtonsville, at 12:29 p.m. on Oct. 14. No entry gained, nothing taken.

- 13600 block of Colgate Way in Fairland, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 14. Unknown entry, property taken.

- 700 block of Chaney Drive, between Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. and Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. No force, property taken.

Larceny – From Auto

- 7600 block of Carroll Avenue, between Oct. 23 at 11:50 a.m. and Oct. 24 at 8:30 a.m. Forced entry, property taken.

Auto Theft

- 7600 block of Maple Avenue, between Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. and Oct. 25 at 8:15 p.m. 1997 gray Plymouth Voyager.

- Unit block of Lee Avenue, Oct. 26 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. 1992 brown Honda Accord.

Larceny – Auto Part

- 6700 block of Conway Avenue, between 1 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 26. Property taken.

Auto Theft

- 6907 New Hampshire Avenue, between Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. and Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. 1994 black Honda motorcycle.

Arrests

- At 12:15 p.m. Oct. 23 at Philadelphia Avenue and Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on open warrants.

- At 8:38 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 8100 block of Lockney Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with assault.

- At 11:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Park Avenue and Takoma Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges.

- At 9:39 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 6300 block of Philadelphia Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice.

- At 5:24 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 1200 block of Merwood Drive, an adult male was arrested and charged with wearing/transporting a handgun and theft.

- At 9:36 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia.

- At 4:10 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 7200 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged on an open warrant with failure to pay child support.
