At the conclusion of her junior season in 2008, South Carroll High field hockey standout Briannah Smith set a personal goal of playing Division I field hockey.
Working ambitiously throughout the off-season, and into her senior campaign, Smith reached her objective. Less than a month ago, Smith verbally committed to play for Radford University in Southwest Virginia next fall on a combined academic-athletic scholarship.
"The best part of all of this is the fact that I worked so hard and reached my goal and the relief of knowing that my decisions on college are done," Smith said.
"Now I can relax and prepare for next year."
