Children invited to annual trick-or-treat event at Hood
Hood College students are again planning a Halloween celebration for Frederick-area children on campus.
"Safe Harvest," sponsored by the Hood College chapter of Mortar Board, allows children ages 2 to 12 to visit the campus in costume, play games, make crafts and trick or treat for candy.
The annual event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29.
Games and activities begin at 6 p.m. in the Whitaker Campus Center Commons. Starting at 7 p.m., the children, escorted by Mortar Board members, may trick or treat throughout Hood's five residence halls.
Participants are encouraged to bring nonperishable food or hygiene items to benefit the Thurmont Food Bank.
Mortar Board is a National Senior Honor Society promoting service, leadership and scholarship among college seniors nationwide.
