Drivers should expect delays for officer's funeral procession
The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Middletown.
The route for the procession, which is expected to begin between 12:30 and 1 p.m., is as follows:
-North on Md. Route 17 in Middletown
-East on U.S. Alternate 40 Alternate (Old National Pike)
-East on Interstate 70
-Exit at South Market Street northbound
-West onto Patrick Street
-North on U.S. Route 15 to Resthaven Memorial Gardens where a private graveside service will take place.
Police expect the procession to drive through the City of Frederick between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
The right lane and shoulder of northbound Route 15 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens will be closed to allow people to park for the graveside service.
Anyone driving by the cemetery from 1-3:30 p.m. should expect delays.
Ramps and intersections may be temporarily closed for the procession.
