The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and/or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

- On Dalamar Street in Gaithersburg at approximately 1:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Domestic-related. A 61-year-old male was arrested at the scene.

- On Oct. 9 at 1:34 p.m., in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village. The adult male victim was taking out the trash when he was struck in the back of the head by an unknown suspect. The suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, grey jacket, black pants.

Strong-arm robbery

- On Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m., in the 700 block of Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg. Two juveniles were assaulted and robbed by a group of five male suspects who knocked them down and stole their property.

- On Oct. 7 at 1:27 p.m.at Centerway Road and Stedwick Road in Montgomery Village. The adult male victim was attacked and had his property stolen. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 18-20, black knit cap, black Spiderman shirt, blue jeans. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 18-20, black hoodie, black gloves, blue jeans.

- 17700 block of Topfield Drive in Gaithersburg, at 8:30 pm. Oct. 10. The victim was walking to his house when he was attacked by five black male suspects who demanded his property. Suspects fled after obtaining property.

Vehicle larceny

- Outside of Resnick Elementary School, 7301 Hadley Farms Drive in Gaithersburg, at 5 p.m. Oct. 11. The victim had left her purse in her locked vehicle and came back to find a window smashed and her purse gone. The defendant, a 29-year-old male from Springfield, Va., was found nearby with the victim's property and arrested at the scene.

Commercial burglary

- Maxa Realty, 600 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg, between Oct. 10 and Oct. 11. Forced entry, property taken.

Residential burglary

- 18000 block of Royal Bonnet Circle in Montgomery Village, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Oct. 8. Forced entry to garage, property taken.

- 10000 block of Stedwick Road in Montgomery Village, between 2 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. Oct. 11. No forced entry, nothing taken. The homeowner arrived to find the suspect inside. A 21-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested at the scene.

- Unit block of Steven Court in Gaithersburg, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 5. Forced entry, property taken.

- Brian Court in Gaithersburg, between 7 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. Oct. 7. Forced entry, property taken.

- Unit block of Nina Court in Gaithersburg, at 11:40 a.m. Oct. 7. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.

- 8900 block North Westland Drive in Gaithersburg, between Oct. 5 and Oct. 6. Garage targeted, the suspect is known to the victim.
