Brentwood man found dead along Route 50; police suspect suicide

Maryland State Police say the death of a Brentwood man found in a Jeep by the side of Route 50 Wednesday is being investigated as a suicide.
At about 9 a.m., Maryland State Highway Administration employees found the body of Dennis Pinkney, 58, of the 5800 block of Cottage Terrace in the backseat of a 1994 black Jeep on the westbound side of Route 50 at Church Road near Mitchellville, said state police spokeswoman Elena Russo.
State troopers entered the vehicle with the help of the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department and found no sign of trauma. There was a hose attached to the tailpipe that led into the back of the vehicle, Russo said.
The body has been turned over to state medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy, and the death is being investigated as a suicide, Russo said.
