Action Agency offers adult care program

The Primary Adult Care Program is a new state-funded initiative that provides free medical care and prescription medication to lower-income adults, those ages 19 to 65.

The program is locally run by the Frederick Community Action Agency at 100 S. Market St., Frederick.

Care clinic is staffed by physicians and nurse practitioners and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

The agency also offers healthcare for the homeless, which provides primary health care and supportive services to those who are homeless, and the Medbank Program in which workers help people to access free prescription medication.
