Montgomery County has five regional service centers: Upcounty, Mid-County, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Silver Spring and East County. The centers link residents with the county executive and with county services and programs available to them. The mission of the regional services centers is to represent the county in their respective regions by providing liaisons between Montgomery County and residents and businesses, and by working with individuals, community groups, regional citizen advisory boards and other agencies to give information, identify and assess regional issues, and recommend and/or implement solutions.

East County Regional Services Center

The East County Citizens Advisory Board represents citizens in a 47.5 square mile area that includes the Colesville, Cloverly, Fairland and White Oak communities. The 18-member board advises the county executive of East County citizens' issues and concerns, advocates for regional priorities and helps to facilitate solutions.
The board meets at 7:15 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month at the center.

The Mid-County Citizens Advisory board serves citizens located in the Aspen Hill, Brookeville, Capital View, Derwood, Flower Valley, Forest Glen, Glenmont, Kemp Mill, Kensington, Layhill, parts of Laytonsville, Norbeck, Olney, Rock Creek, Sandy Spring and Wheaton areas.
The 15-member board provides advice and recommendations to the county executive on policy and budget issues, planning and goal setting procedures and legislative matters; educates the community on governmental structures and services; and acts as a facilitator to foster solutions to community problems, needs and issues.
Board meetings are held at 7:15 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the center.

The Upcounty Citizens Advisory Board represents county residents living north of Shady Grove Road. The 20-member board advises the director of the Upcounty Regional Services Center, the county executive and County Council on area needs and priorities such as transportation, human services, environment, public safety and other issues of importance.
The board represents the communities of Boyds, Clarksburg, Darnestown, Damascus, Derwood, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Goshen, Laytonsville, Hyattstown, Dickerson, Barnesville, Beallsville, Tobytown, Washington Grove, Montgomery Village, Poolesville and parts of North Potomac.
The board usually meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month at the center.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center

The Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board has 15 members that advise the director of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, the county executive and the County Council on topics like transportation, human services, environment, public safety and other issues of local importance.
The board forms opinions on issues that pertain to the board's region — which includes Bethesda and North Bethesda, Cabin John, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Garrett Park, Glen Echo and Potomac — and then makes recommendations to the appropriate county government agencies.
The board usually meets at 7 p.m. the third Monday of the month at the center.

The Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board represents residents living in 11 square miles in North Silver Spring, West Silver Spring, East Silver Spring, Four Corners, Takoma Park and the Central Business District.
The 18-member board acts as liaison between the Silver Spring communities and the county government by identifying neighborhood and business concerns and making recommendations to county officials. It advises the Silver Spring Regional Services Center director on area needs and priorities such as economic development, transportation, housing, education, human services and downtown redevelopment.
The board meets at 7 p.m. the second Monday of the month at various locations.
