Queen Anne, Riverdale Baptist girls play to tie
Crusader boys beat Lions in Monday night girls' soccer team
The Queen Anne School girls' soccer team played Riverdale Baptist to a scoreless tie on Monday afternoon in Upper Marlboro. In a defensive struggle, goalkeeper Ashley Brown made 10 saves for Queen Anne, which is now 2-0-1 heading into Wednesday's game against Indian Creek.
The Queen Anne boys dropped a 5-0 decision to Riverdale Baptist on Monday. The game was scoreless in the first half thanks to the goaltending of Julian Reid and defensive play of Maurice Anderson and Niko Paiz. A foot injury to forward Larry Haley hindered the Lions in the second half as the Crusaders took control of the game. Queen Anne is back in action at home on Friday against St. Andrews.
