Montgomery County primary election results to be broadcast live
Coverage will include local analysis
Montgomery County's local cable television stations will simultaneously broadcast up-to-date election information during the primary Tuesday.
The stations will broadcast live throughout the evening, immediately posting results from the county's Board of Elections.
The election coverage will be broadcast on County Cable Montgomery (CCM: Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN, Channel 30 on Verizon); Montgomery Community Television (AMTV19: Channel 19 on Comcast, RCN and Verizon/AMTV21: Channel 21 on Comcast, RCN and Verizon); Montgomery County Public Schools Instructional Television (ITV: Channel 34 on Comcast; Channel 89 on RCN; Channel 36 on Verizon); Montgomery College TV (MCTV: Channel 10 on Comcast, RCN and Verizon); and Rockville 11 (Rockville 11: Channel 11 on Comcast, RCN and Verizon).
The election night coverage will begin with five-minute updates at 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 8:55 p.m., a news release states. At 9 p.m., the stations will broadcast 90 minutes of continuous election coverage, including analysis and the latest results. At 10:30 p.m., the stations will broadcast updates with an election-night highlights recap beginning at 10:55 p.m.
Absentee ballots available
Voters can apply in person for a late absentee ballot through Tuesday, the day of the primary election, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by mail was Sept. 7.
If voters cannot vote in person on Election Day and are unable to make it to an early-voting location, they can go to the elections office.
The office will be open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Voters who cannot come in person to the office may designate an agent to obtain the application.

MCGEO offers endorsements
The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1994/Municipal and County Government Employees Organization has endorsed five incumbents in the Montgomery County Council in Tuesday's primary election, according to a news release.
The union, which represents about 10,000 employees in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, made no endorsement for Montgomery County executive or in the District 1 and District 3 council races.
The union endorses Del. Craig L. Rice (D-Dist. 15) in District 2; Councilwoman Nancy Navarro (D) in District 4, and council Vice President Valerie Ervin (D) in District 5. MCGEO also endorses Councilman George L. Leventhal (D), Councilman Marc Elrich (D), council President Nancy M. Floreen (D) and challenger Hans Riemer (D) in the at-large race.
