A school bus transporting students from Benjamin Tasker Middle School was involved in a crash at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Collington Road and Evergreen Parkway, according to county police and fire departments.

The cause of the crash was not known and was under investigation as of Tuesday afternoon, said Cpl. Stephen Pachecho of Prince George’s County Police.

Pachecho said no one in the bus was injured, but a few of the students were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The other car involved rolled onto its side, and the lone occupant escaped with minor injuries, according to a news release from the county fire department.

The students on the bus were transferred to another school bus to be taken home, Pachecho said.
