County police reports
The following is a summary of incidents in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and Potomac to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Vehicle larceny/theft
- Recreation center parking lot, 7117 MacArthur Blvd. in Bethesda, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 11. Broken window, glasses, playing cards, money, GPS taken. Another vehicle was also entered via a broken window, a spare key left inside likely used to steal the vehicle. The vehicle was described as a black Mazda with Maryland tags.
Vehicle larceny
- 12400 block of Parklawn Drive in North Bethesda, between 4:47 a.m. and 5 a.m. Aug. 13. Officers responded to the report of someone walking around looking into vehicles. CD's, change, other small items taken. The 20-year-old man from Rockville was arrested.
Commercial burglary
- BD's Mongolian Grill, 7201 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, at 3 a.m. Aug. 14. No forced entry, nothing taken.
- The Mary of Nazareth Catholic School, 14131 Seneca Road in Darnestown, between Aug. 10 and Aug. 17. Attempted forced entry, no entry gained, nothing taken.
Residential burglary
- 4400 block of Puller Drive in Kensington, at 4 p.m. Aug. 13. Forced entry, property was recovered. The 14-year-old boy from Kensington was arrested.
- 4700 block of Macon Road in North Bethesda, at an unknown time between Aug. 13 and Aug. 16. Forced entry, property taken.
- 5300 block of Randolph Road in North Bethesda, between 8 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 16. No forced entry, property taken.
- 14700 block of Chisolm Landing Way in North Potomac, between 7:40 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Aug. 13. Forced entry, property taken.
