Booz Allen appoints new executive director

Robert Jeffrey has been named executive director of the Booz Allen Classic, the Greater Washington area’s only PGA Tour stop. He will be based at the Booz Allen Classic’s headquarters at the Tournament Players Club at Avenel, site of the tournament, in Potomac.
Before joining the Booz Allen Classic, Jeffrey piloted operations as tournament director for the 85th PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in New York. Prior to that, he served as manager of operations for both the 62nd Senior PGA Championship at The Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey and the 82nd PGA Championship staged at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky. Jeffrey embarked on his career with The PGA of America in 1999 as operations administrator during the 33rd Ryder Cup matches. Before entering the golf business, he worked at the United States Department of State in Washington D.C. Jeffrey graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
