Former Northwestern track coach charged with sexual assault
District Heights man allegedly touched boy inappropriately in home in June
A former Northwestern High School track coach has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy, Prince George's County police said today.
Glen Donell Jones, 45, of District Heights was arrested Friday for the alleged June assault of a boy at Jones' home.
Police said the boy went to Jones' home, in the 1900 block of Rochell Avenue, for information about an assignment at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville. It was there police allege Jones began to touch the boy inappropriately.
Jones has been charged with second-degree assault and a fourth-degree sex offense, according to online court records from Prince George's County District Court. He is currently being held on $100,000 bond and had no attorney listed in court records.
A Prince George's County Public Schools spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment. Police did not know how long ago Jones was employed at Northwestern.
