Gaithersburg boys star to Holy Cross; Good Counsel girls standout to Rhode Island
The 6-foot-5 rising senior, featured in The Gazette's recent series on the Selects, verbally committed Monday to the College of the Holy Cross (Mass.). Holy Cross plays in the Division I Patriot League.
Miller has played all over the floor in three varsity seasons with the Trojans, from forward to point guard. He averaged 9.7 points per game last season.
Good Counsel High senior forward Sydney Lewis, a key member of the team's Washington Catholic Atlhetic Conference girls championship two years ago, also committed to play basketball at the University of Rhode Island Sunday.
Lewis averaged 9.3 points and 7.5 rebounds a game for the Falcons despite missing nearly three weeks because of injury.
