Terrance C. Coakley, co-owner and CEO of Coakley & Williams Construction of Bethesda, won the 2010 Catholic Business Person of the Year Award from the Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County.
Discovery Communications of Silver Spring promoted Bruce Campbell from president of digital media and corporate development to chief development officer and general counsel, succeeding Joe LaSala in the latter role. Before joining Discovery in 2007, Campbell was executive vice president, business development for NBC Universal. He also was a lawyer with O'Melveny & Myers. Discovery also named Lee Bartlett executive vice president, global production management, business and legal affairs. Previously, Bartlett was managing director of ITV Studios for ITV plc and executive vice president for business affairs at Fox Broadcasting.
TW Perry of Gaithersburg promoted Michael Cassidy to president and CEO, succeeding Edward J. Quinn as CEO. Before joining TW Perry in 2008 as COO, Cassidy was vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Strober and also worked for United Technologies, Booz Allen Hamilton and Kimberly Clark.

Previously, Laguerre-Brown was associate vice provost for institutional equity. Earlier, she was labor and employment defense counsel for the New York Transit Authority and assistant director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Office for the Fire Department of New York.
The Columbia Bank promoted Lisa Swan to manager of its Oakland Mills branch in Columbia. Previously, Swan was associate manager of the bank's Ellicott City branch.
Conmed Healthcare Management of Hanover promoted Stephen B. Goldberg to executive vice president, succeeding co-founder Howard M. Haft, who is retiring. Goldberg is president and founder of Correctional Mental Health Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Conmed. Previously, he was director of admissions, director of pretrial services and associate medical director at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center, Maryland's maximum-security state psychiatric hospital. Succeeding Haft as chief medical officer is Robert Younes. Before joining Conmed in 2007, Younes was medical director at the Medical Education Center Primary Care Clinic of Northern Virginia Community College.
