Movies: New on DVD
Here are some of the DVDs scheduled to be released Tuesday:
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Jeff Kinney's best-selling illustrated novel, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," gets the film treatment. It's the story of a wise-cracking boy who is trying to survive one of the most difficult ordeals of any person's life: Middle school. The film covers the first book in the series, which has been on top of the New York Times bestseller list for children's books and has sold more than 24 million copies.

Kick-Ass: Dave is an average teen who loves comic books. He decides the world would be better off with superheroes, so he puts together his own costume and decides to hit the streets to fight crime. The catch is that he has no special powers and that real criminals don't just give up. But he inspires even more people to put on a mask and cape.

The Ghost Writer: A former British prime minister (Pierce Brosnan) hires a ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) to write his memoirs. As the writer digs into the politician's past, he uncovers secrets that might jeopardize international relations.

After.Life: Anna (Christina Ricci) is involved in a serious car accident and becomes unconscious. When she does wake up, she discovers that a funeral director (Liam Neeson) is preparing her body for the funeral. She tries to convince him that she's still alive, but he tells her that she is merely in transition from the living world to the afterlife. The director claims that he can communicate with the dead, and he's there to help her accept her death. But Anna's boyfriend (Justin Long) begins to suspect something is wrong.
