The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

- On July 12 at approximately 2:20 a.m., in the unit block of Tall Cedar Court in Germantown. Unknown persons shot three rounds at a residence. No one was injured.

- On July 8 between 10:25 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., in the 19000 Forest Brook Road in Germantown. Officers responded for a stabbing and found the victim lying on the ground with a stab wound. The suspects were described as four Hispanic males.

- On July 12 at 1:30 a.m., in the 19500 block of White Saddle Drive in Germantown. The victim responded to the address for a fare, the male suspect approached the cab, displayed a gun and hit the victim in the face.

Strong-arm robbery

- On July 12 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:11 p.m., at Brundidge Terrace and Brandermill Drive in Germantown. The victim was walking when he was approached by five juvenile males who assaulted him and took his property. The suspect was described as a black male, 12-15, 5 feet to 5 feet 4 inches tall, 130-160 pounds, afro.

- On July 11 between 7:05 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road in Damascus. The adult male victim stated he was asleep and when he awoke the suspect was beating him. The victim was able to flee the apartment and notify the police. The suspect was described as a black male, 30-39, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 225 pounds, bat.

- On July 8 between 12:50 a.m. and 1:06 a.m., at Crystal Rock Drive and Germantown Road in Germantown. The victim was walking through the parking lot of the Green Turtle when the suspects approached. The victim noticed the suspects and began to run. The suspects caught the victim, began to punch and kick him and took his property. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 16-18, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160-180 pounds, dreadlocks. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 16-18, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, bald.

Vehicle theft

- Allentuck Landscape Company, 24320 Frederick Road in Clarksburg, between 5:20 p.m. on July 9 and 6:20 a.m. July 10. Three company trucks were stolen.

Vehicle larceny

- 11600 block of Drumcastle Terrace in Germantown, between 3:30 p.m. on July 6. and 6:30 a.m. on July 7. Broke window, iPod taken.

- 11600 block of Drumcastle Terrace in Germantown, between 5 p.m. on July 6 and 9:30 a.m. on July 7. Broke window, stereo taken.

- 11400 block of Applegrath Way in Germantown, at 2:08 a.m. on July 5. Vehicle left unlocked, two subwoofers taken.

- 11500 block of Aldburg Drive in Germantown, overnight between 11:30 a.m. July 5 and 12:13 a.m. July 6, Broke window, stereo, medication, CDs taken.

- Unit block of Farcroft Court in Laytonsville, between 11 p.m. July 8 and 8 a.m. July 9. Vehicle left unlocked, two digital cameras taken.

- 20500 block of Farcroft Lane in Laytonsville, between midnight and 6 a.m. July 9. Vehicle left unlocked, no property taken.

- 7000 block of Dorsey Road in Laytonsville, between 10:30 p.m. July 8 and 6 a.m. July 9. Broke window, purse taken.

- 7000 block of Dorsey Road in Laytonsville, 7 p.m. between July 8 and 8 a.m. July 9. Vehicle left unlocked, briefcase, ring taken.

- 6500 block of Garden Grove Way in Laytonsville, between 10 p.m. July 8 and 5:45 a.m. July 9. Vehicle left unlocked, GPS, speakers taken.

- 11500 block of Summer Oak Drive in Germantown, between 9:30 p.m. July 11 and 9 a.m. July 12. Vehicle left unlocked, GPS taken.

- 19600 block of Gassaway Lane in Germantown, between 10 p.m. July 9 and 8:30 a.m. July 10. Broke window, laptop computer, gym bag, sunglasses taken.

- 19400 Rayfield Drive in Germantown, between 12:30 a.m. July 9 and 12:30 a.m. July 10. Broke window, GPS unit taken.

- 19400 Rayfield Drive in Germantown, between 11 p.m. July 9 and 6 a.m. July 10. Broke window, iPod taken.

Commercial burglary

- Clopper Beer and Wine, 12845 Clopper Road in Germantown, between 10 p.m. July 8 and 6 a.m. July 9. Forced entry, nothing reported missing.

- Crystal Cleaners, 12845 Clopper Road in Germantown, between 10 p.m. July 8 and 6 a.m. July 9. Attempt only, no entry gained, nothing taken.

Residential burglary

- 11400 block of Brundidge Terrace in Germantown, between 11:55 a.m. and 12:06 p.m. July 7. Forced entry, property taken.

- 23800 block of Woodfield Road in Damascus, between 8:35 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. July 6. No signs of forced entry, nothing taken.

- 12100 block of Prices Distillery Road in Damascus, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. July 8. Unknown entry, property taken.

- 14300 block of Kings Crossing Boulevard in Boyds, between 1:01 a.m. July 8 and 1:01 a.m. July 11. Unknown entry, nothing taken.
