Fort Washington falls in final dual meet
The Fort Washington Sharks lost their final regular season Prince-Mont Swim League meet to the Roger Carter Seals, 301-261.
Triple winners for the Sharks are: Akeyla Holley (11-12 girls' butterfly, freestyle, and individual medley), Marcus Dennis (13-14 boys' fly, free, and IM), Dakota Hinely (senior boys' fly, backstroke and IM) and Marlena Fernandez (15-18 girls' free, breastroke, and IM).
The boys' medley of Hinely, Brandon Dennis, Walton Irving, and Joey Patrizio began the meet with a win followed by the girls' medley relay of Tori Camardella, Erin Dullahan, Nicole Scott, and Kim Scott. The girls free relay of Gabby Stevenson, Holley, Gaby Griffin, and Fernandez closed the meet with a win.
Arthur Walton cleaned up the other senior boys' events by winning the 15-18 free and breast. Nicole Scott was victorious in the 15-18 girls' breast, while teammate Erin Dullahan won the 15-18 girls' backstroke. Griffin won the 13-14 girls' freestyle and Camardella won the 13-14 girls' backstroke. Kiara Leath went undefeated all season in the 11-12 girls' breastroke, while Madison Tompkins had a first place finish in the 8-and-under breast.
Summer camps
Jarrett Jack will sponsor a basketball camp from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. from Aug. 10-14 at the Southern Friendship Athletic Facility. The camp is for boys and girls between the ages of 7-16. Before and after care services are available from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Cost of the camp is $265 with each player leaving with a special gift and prizes. The Air Flight Elite travel basketball club will hold tryouts for its

Sports registration
The Temple Hills Bison AAU football club is looking for football players and cheerleaders ages 5-15. There are no weight restrictions for the football teams, and previous playing experience is not required. Practices will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Allenwood Elementary School, 6300 Harley Lane in Temple Hills.
