Police ReportThe following is a summary of incidents in Rockville to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt. Aggravated assault *On June 30: At 4 p.m. at the Parklawn Cemetery on Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. The adult male victim was grabbed and knocked to the ground and assaulted by four males. Suspects fled the area. The suspects were described only as three males, one armed with a gun and knife, and one Hispanic male. Carjacking robbery *On July 2: At 11 p.m. on Crofton Hill Lane in Rockville. Investigation revealed that a traffic dispute occurred and the suspects chased the victims and blocked them in Crofton Hill Lane, where they were assaulted. The victim fled on foot and the suspects drove off in his vehicle. The victim’s Jeep Liberty was abandoned on Research Boulevard and the suspects 41, 37 and 17 years old, were arrested. Attempted robbery *On July 1: At 11:15 p.m. outside the Safeway, 1902 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot toward the houses behind Safeway. The suspect was described as a black male, 17-20, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, black baseball cap, black short-sleeved shirt, black pants. *On June 29: In the 7200 block of Mill Run Drive in Derwood. Officers responded for a fight in-progress and found the first suspect. A 16-year-old and 17-year-old male were arrested at the scene. Robbery *On July 3: at 3:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. The victim was walking when the suspects approached, displayed a gun and demanded his wallet. The suspects assaulted the victim and fled on foot toward Twinbrook Parkway. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 20, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 200 pounds, muscular, jeans. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 20, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, white t-shirt, jeans. Vehicle theft *12200 block of Middle Road in Rockville, between 2:55 a.m. and 4 a.m. on July 1. The 1998 Honda Civic with Maryland tags was found abandoned later in the day at Selfridge Road and Clearfield Road. *1400 block of Gladstone Drive on July 1 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Forced entry, unknown property taken. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 12-13, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 13-14, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 pounds. Suspect No. 3 was described as a black male, 14-15, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. Suspect No. 4 was described as a black male, 16-17, 5 feet 7 inches tall. *1800 block of MacAuliffe Drive in Rockville, between June 29 and July 6. Chevy Tahoe with Maryland tags stolen. *Parking lot of 625 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, sometime after 3 a.m. on July 5. An off-duty officer observed the vehicle, which crashed and the suspect fled. The suspect was found nearby and was arrested. Vehicle larceny *Elmcroft Court in the King Farm area of Rockville, between 9:30 p.m. on July 3 and 10:30 a.m. on July 4. Forced entry to two vehicles, GPS units taken. *King Farm Boulevard: in the King Farm area of Rockville, between 9:30 p.m. on July 3 and 10:30 a.m. on July 4. Forced entry to two vehicles, GPS units taken. *10100 block of River Road in Potomac overnight between June 30 and July 1. No forced entry, a handicapped placard taken. *9000 block of Cherbourg Drive in Potomac overnight between July 2 and July 3. Forced entry, laptop computer, briefcase and wallet taken. *8900 block of Cherbourg Drive in Potomac overnight between July 2 and July 3. No forced entry, cell phone taken. *8400 block of Pittsfield Court in Potomac between midnight and 6 a.m. on July 4. No forced entry, stereo taken. *8100 block of Lilly Stone Drive in Bethesda between midnight and 7 a.m. on July 7. No forced entry, GPS and cell phone taken. *Westleigh Pool & Recreation Center, Dufief Mill Road and Muddy Branch Road in North Potomac, between 1 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. on July 8. No forced entry, purse⁄wallet taken. Commercial burglary *Urban BBQ, 2007 Chapman Ave. in Rockville, between 9:45 p.m. on July 2 and 7:30 a.m. on July 3. Forced entry, property taken. *$1.75 Cleaners, 15813 Frederick Road in Rockville, between 1:30 p.m. on July 6 and 6:50 a.m. on July 7 Attempted forced entry, nothing taken. *Construction site in the 17100 block of Overhill Road in Rockville, between 10:50 p.m. on July 7 and 6 a.m. on July 8. Unknown entry, tools taken. *Mama Lucia’s, 12274 Rockville Pike in Rockville, between 10:40 p.m. on July 2 and 9:18 a.m. on July 3. Forced entry, property taken. Residential burglary *12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville, between July 3 and July 8. Forced entry, property taken. *300 block of Cedar Avenue in Rockville, at 12:23 p.m. on July 5. A witness contacted the police after she observed the suspects. Three suspects were arrested and charged. *200 block of South Washington Street in Rockville, on July 1. Forced entry, property taken. *300 block of Cedar Lane in Rockville at 1:15 p.m. on July 5. Unknown entry. A 13- to 14-year-old female and a 15- to 17-year-old male were arrested at the scene. *10700 block of Stable Drive in Potomac, between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. on June 27. No forced entry, property taken. *9300 block of Kendale Road in Potomac, at 1 a.m. on July 7. Forced entry, nothing taken. *9900 block of Kendale Drive in Potomac, between 1 a.m. and 1:50 a.m. on July 7. Forced entry, property taken. *8200 block of Windsor View Terrace in Potomac, between 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on July 7. No forced entry, property taken. *11000 block of Smokey Quartz Lane in Potomac, between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on July 2. Forced entry, nothing taken.
