County police reports
The following is a summary of incidents in Rockville to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
-On June 9: In the 1200 block of Claggett Drive in Rockville. The elderly female victim was lying in bed and the adult male suspect came in and hit her several times with a heavy lamp. He was arrested on the scene. This incident is domestic in nature, suspect and victim are related.
-On June 12: At 1:15 a.m. at 1st Street and Taft Street in Rockville. A witness saw the adult male victim being chased by the suspects. The victim was found with severe injuries. The suspects were described only as two white males and one black male.
-On June 14: At 10:30 p.m. at Rockville Billiards, 2015 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. While riding his bicycle, the victim was approached by three suspects who drove alongside him. The first suspect displayed a gun and then the suspects drove off in a white vehicle. The suspects were described only as Hispanic males.
-On June 12: At 3:10 p.m. at the Rockville Metro on Hungerford Drive in Rockville. The adult male victim was approached and assaulted with a knife when he tried to defend himself. Victim was cut but did not require medical treatment. Suspect No. 1 was described as a Hispanic male, 20-24, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160-180 pounds, white T-shirt and blue jeans. Suspects No. 2 and 3 were described as only as Hispanic males, 20-24.
-On June 9 at 6 p.m. in the 7800 block of Cadbury Avenue in Rockville. The victim went outside and confronted the suspects inside his vehicle. An altercation occurred and Suspect No. 1 stabbed the victim in the side. Suspects fled in a blue Nissan. Victim was treated and released. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 40-45, 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches tall, red hat, green shorts. Suspect No. 2 was described only as a black male, 40-45.
-On June 13: At 7:50 p.m. in the 3000 block of Gatehouse Court in Potomac. Domestic-related. The adult male victim was cut with a knife by the adult female suspect.
-On June 15: At 3:32 p.m. in the 9300 block of Crimson Leaf Court in Potomac. Domestic-related. The adult male suspect attempted to stab the adult female victim with a knife.
Armed robbery
-On June 11: At 10:25 p.m. at Rockville Pike and Park Road in Rockville. The adult male victim was approached by two adult male suspects who displayed a handgun and took his money. The victim was assaulted during the incident. Suspect No. 1 was described as a Hispanic male, 18-20, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, black shirt and pants. Suspect No. 2 was described as a Hispanic male, 18-20, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8, black shirt and pants.
Robbery
-On June 10: At 7:58 p.m. in front of the Carl Sandburg Center, 400 Meadow Hall Drive in Rockville. While outside the center, the victim was approached by three suspects, handcuffed and robbed. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 20-21, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt. Suspect No. 2 was described as a white male, 20-21, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a mustache and a black raincoat with a star sewn on the front. Suspect. No. 3 was described as a black female, 20-21, heavy set, driver of a white vehicle.
Strong-arm robbery
-On June 11: at 9:30 p.m. in the 100 block of New Mark Esplanade in Rockville. The elderly male victim exited his vehicle and the male suspect took his property. The suspect fled towards Dogwood Park. The suspect was described as a black male, 17-21, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a black T-shirt, dark pants, possible towel or doo rag on his head.
-On June 14: At 1:30 a.m. in the 14800 block of Poplar Road in North Potomac. The adult male victim was assaulted and robbed of his cash while walking to his vehicle. The suspects were described only as two white males.
Vehicle larceny
-4800 block of Ertter Drive in Rockville, at 3:39 a.m. on June 14. Broke window, coins taken.
-10600 block of Vantage Court in Potomac, at 8:20 p.m. on June 14. The victim had walked outside and saw the suspect between her two vehicles. When observed, the suspect fled. The vehicles were left unlocked, coins reported missing. The suspect was described as a black male, medium complexion, with a black shirt and jean shorts.
-13900 block of Piney Meetinghouse Road in Potomac, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 9. Vehicle left unlocked, wallet taken.
School burglary
-Twinbrook Elementary, 5911 Ridgeway Ave. in Rockville, at 2:36 p.m. on June 13. Forced entry, nothing taken. The adult male suspect was arrested at the scene.
Commercial burglary
-Great Deals Computer, 8653 Zetts Ave. in Rockville, between 1 a.m. and 1:13 a.m. on June 11. Forced entry, property missing.
-Potomac Squash Club, 12300 Seven Locks Road in Potomac, at 4 a.m. on June 14. No forced entry. Suspect found inside and arrested at the scene.
-Bretton Woods Golf Course, 15700 River Road in Potomac, between 8:30 p.m. on June 11 and 7:45 a.m. on June 12. Forced entry, property taken.
-Kart Landscape & Lawns, 13711 Travilah Road in Potomac, between 5 p.m. on June 12 and 5 p.m. on June 13. Forced entry, property taken.
