Middletown

Led the Knights to 2A state title for third time in school history.

Najjiyya Franklin-Huff,

Thomas Johnson, 200,400, long jump

One of the state’s top athletes in the 400 and long jump, with Frederick County titles in both, as well as the 200.

Sarah Lueck

Urbana, Pole vault

State champion in the pole vault, owning four of the top five marks in the state. Also won the Frederick County and Class 3A West Region titles.

Chowan Brightful

Linganore, High jump

Frederick County champion in the high jump and 100 hurdles.

Stephanie Bryan

Thomas Johnson, 1,600

Had a sixth-place finish in the Class 4A 3,200 while ranking as 15th-fastest 1,600 mark in the state. Took Frederick County titles in both events.

Cenarda Jackson

Thomas Johnson, Pole vault

Standout in the hurdles, won the Frederick county title in the 300 and was second in the 100.

Brittany CaudleMiddletown 800

State champion in the 800, county champion in the 800 and second in the 400.

Courtney GrayTuscarora, Field Events

Finished fourth in the 3A triple jump and posted top 25 marks in the shot put for the state. Scored 24 points at the Frederick County meet.

Sarah WeidenMiddletown, Jumps

Won the state title in the long jump and took the Frederick County title in the triple jump. Was fifth in the state in triple jump.

Middletown 4x800 relay

(Jo Nichols, Gretchen Whitesell, Emma Nichols, Brittney Caudle)

Won the 2A state title in 9:51.35.

Glenelg 4x800 relay

(Katie Rouse, Torie Kirshe, Christina Giampalmo, Adrienne Greenberg)

Foursome captured the 1A state title.

Nina Boston

South Carroll, hurdles

A third place finish in the 100 hurdles at the state meet is coupled with Carroll County titles in the 300 and 100 hurdles.

Middletown 4x200 relay

(Megan Buckheit, Jenna Caudle, Tara Shaffer, Sarah Wrieden)

Finished second in the 2A State meet.

Ally Hemme

Middletown, Pole Vault

Finished sicxth in the 2A State meet .

Liberty 4x800 relay

(Kate Herholtz, Jackie Davis, Michele Lambert, Samantha McElroy)

All- underclassman teeam qualified for state meet.
