Tuscarora Junior Titans accepting registrations
The Tuscarora Jr. Titans Football and Cheerleading program (F.Y.S.A.) will accept registrations through June 30th for the upcoming 2010 season. You can register online at www.tuscarorajrtitans.com. The Jr. Titans' program is for boys and girls ages 4-14 and is a direct feeder program for Tuscarora High School.
LOUYAA announces
fall lacrosse clinic
The Linganore-Oakdale-Urbana Youth Athletic Association Lacrosse Fall Clinic for new and novice boys and girls in kindergarten and eighth grade will run from Sept. 7 through Oct. 21 at Old National Pike Park in Mount Airy.
Cost for the camp is $40. Clinic participants will need a lacrosse stick, mouth guard, and goggles (for girls). To register, please log on to www.luyaa.org.

2010 Summer Hoops
camps registration now open
The 2010 Summer Hoops Basketball camps will provide summer instruction for boys in the Linganore-Oakdale-Urbana area. Boys currently in grades three to eight have two full day sessions, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to June 24 and July 12 to15 at Oakdale High.
Instructional camp for current first- and second-grade boys and girls will be conducted at New Market Elementary School through Friday from 8:30a.m. to 12 p.m.

St. Michael's Church
to host Prezelski hoop camp
St. Michael's Church of Mount Airy will host the Julius Prezelski Basketball School in June and July.
The School will offer a full day camp from June 28-30, a half-day camp from July 7-9, and an offensive skills camp from July 12-14. Each camp will be tailored for specific age groups.
Ball-handling wizard "Crazy" George Schauer of Cleveland, Ohio will make an appearance at the full-day camp.
Attendance is limited, and early registration is recommended.

CSC Barcelona FC U-15 seek experienced girls soccer players
The CSC Barcelona FC girls under-15 soccer team is looking for experienced players for all positions going into the fall 2010-spring 2011 season. The team will be trained and coached by Harry Burrell, a former professional South American player. The team is dedicated to player and team development and focuses on improving skills and overall game understanding.
Players must be born after Aug. 1, 1995. The team welcomes high school soccer players and will accommodate their schedule in the Fall but will expect high commitment in the spring-summer 2011. Bellefonte Baseball hosts
summer wood bat tourneys
Bellefonte Baseball of Central Pennsylvania will host four wood bat youth summer baseball tournaments in 2010.
Three of the tournaments will be held in Central Pennsylvania, with the fourth to be hosted at the University of Maryland,College Park.

LOUYAA girls lacrosse
finishes its season
The Linganore-Oakdale-Urbana Youth Association under-11 girls lacrosse team closed its spring season last weekend during the LaxMax Tournament in Westminster.
Fort Hunt (Va.) defeated LOUYAA 7-5, as Michaela Metcalf scored two goals in a losing cause. Nicole Donohue fired in her first goal of the season, while Meghan Ols and Heidi Wurzer added a goal each.
The Cradling Crabs of Kent County downed LOUYAA, 6-4, in the second game, as Maddie Harrington netted her first goal of the season. Aiden Peduzzi, Alyssa Wright and Metcalf added single goals. Ali Shirk and Julia Nicastro stood out defensively for LOUYAA.
In the final game of the day, LOUYAA was edged by North Harford, 6-5. Wright tallied two goals, while Kendall Levora, Donohue, Peduzzi and Alyssa Wright chipped in with a goal each. Wurzer and Devin Coombs had outstanding all-around games, and LOUYAA goalkeeper. Danielle Holt stopped 11 shots on goal.
