Teddy bears will have their picnic at Everedy Square & Shab Row
The fourth annual Teddy Bear Picnic will be held from noon-4 p.m. Saturday at Everedy Square & Shab Row, East and Church Streets, Frederick.
Everedy Teddy and his wife, Ms. Shabby will celebrate bears and children everywhere by throwing a huge party. Guests will be delighted by teddy bears galore and amused by wonderful diversions and free activities. Ongoing events taking place throughout the day will include pony rides, moon bounce, make-and-take craft, live music, face painting and balloon sculptures.
Kids and adults alike can bring their favorite teddy bear to enter into the Teddy Bear Competition. Registration begins at 2:15 p.m., with winners announced at 3:30 p.m. on the Everedy Square Plaza. A panel of "bear experts" will determine the best dressed, most loved, most unique, best vintage (over 20 years old), best face and best ethnic/foreign made. Winners will be awarded prizes immediately following the contest and asked to lead the Teddy Bear parade to the reception on Danielle's patio where cookies and lemonade will be served.
Refreshments are available at our four eateries located at Everedy Square & Shab Row: deli sandwiches from The Perfect Truffle; ice cream, homemade fudge and fresh squeezed lemonade by Frederick Fudge and Ice Cream; hand-roasted coffee and specialty drinks from Frederick Coffee Company and family-friendly fine dining at Danielle's restaurant. All eateries offer outdoor dining with views of historic downtown Frederick.
