ICC is not eco-constructive
The relocation of Eastern Box Turtles away from the InterCounty Connector's path is very important, but it does not make anything about the ICC environmentally constructive.
If Maryland was taking the issue of environmental stewardship seriously, the state would have preserved that habitat and invested in mass transportation.
Thousands of wild animals have been displaced as the result of the ICC construction, and many more will die on the highway.
The ICC is in no way an act of environmental stewardship. And residents and schoolchildren who live along the highway will suffer from both air and noise pollution.
