ProFunds Group of Bethesda named Donald Roberson managing director, distribution. Previously, Roberson was senior vice president and head of distribution for the Employer Markets Group at Lincoln Financial Group and senior vice president, director of distribution for managed accounts at John Hancock/Independence Investments. Acumatica of Bethesda named John S. Howell Jr. a director. Previously, Howell was president and CEO of the international division at Solomon Software.

Ola Sage, president and CEO of e-Management of Silver Spring, won the Women in Technology leadership award in the corporate public sector small business category.

The Tower Cos. of Rockville promoted David Borchardt to chief sustainability officer. Before joining Tower in 2005 as director of sustainable development, Borchardt was assistant director of facility planning for Dewberry.

Medifast of Owings Mills promoted Brendan N. Connors to CFO from vice president of finance, succeeding CEO Michael S. McDevitt, who had been acting CFO. Before joining Medifast in 2005, Connors was a senior accountant at Wolf & Co.
