Victim identified in Temple Hills stabbing death
Police investigating protective order woman had requested in February
Shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 3500 block of Leslie Avenue, where Caple lives. They found her and a man with stab wounds, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Police have not identified the man who was stabbed but said Saturday he was in critical condition. Caple was pronounced dead after she was brought to a hospital Thursday night.
Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a spokesman for the police department, said investigators are looking into the possibility that the stabbing was the result of a domestic dispute, as well as whether a third person was involved.
"Initially it was reported that it was domestic related and [police investigated] whether the man's wounds were self-inflicted," Rodriguez said. "But right now, the male is being considered as a victim."
Police are also investigating a protective order that Caple requested in February. Caple withdrew the order in March. Courts are closed on weekends, so details of the order were not immediately available.
Rodriguez said he didn't know the details of the protective order, but that police are looking into it.
