Rockville beer crafter offers free beer tasting Saturday to celebrate American Craft Beer Week

After his wife told him to get his home brewing supplies out of the basement, Paul Rinehart decided to give the beer business a whirl.
Less than a year later, his independent nano-brewery, Baying Hound Aleworks, is producing about 80 cases of beer a month. Bottles retail for about $5 and can be purchased in more than 18 locations in Montgomery County, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Operating out of a small warehouse in Rockville since July, Rinehart has developed several signature beers such as Taj Mahound India Style Brown Ale and Lord Whimsey's Mild Pale Ale. The brewery also offers three "experimental" flavors on tap for guests to try at its small bar.
Assisted by a team of volunteers, Rinehart is working on expanding his operating and finding ways to become more sustainable.

American Craft Beer Week is a weeklong celebration of the culture and community of craft beer.
