Waldorf man found shot on sidewalk
A 28-year-old Waldorf man was found shot to death early Monday morning in the 700 block of Cady Drive in Fort Washington.
Police responded to the shooting call shortly after 1 a.m. and found James Anthony Jackson Jr. unresponsive and lying on the sidewalk.
Jackson, of the 4700 block of Rockwood Street, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. There was no phone number listed for Jackson's family.
Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a Prince George's County Police Department spokesman, said he expected more details to be released Monday. Detectives are working to identify a suspect and establish a motive.
