University of New Hampshire-bound guard led Frederick County's public schools with a 22 points per game scoring average. Also grabbed 6.5 rebounds, dished out 3.7 assists, and nabbed 2.9 steals per game for the Lions as he led them to a berth in the Class 2A West Region championship game.
Coach of the Year
Terry Connelly, Urbana
The veteran court general guided the Hawks to their first-ever region title, topping perennial Baltimore County power Woodlawn in the Class 4A North title game.

Todd Bonheyo, MSD, Jr., Guard
Helped lead the Orioles to an overall record of 23-5, the second best mark in school history. Paced the team in scoring (16 ppg), assists (5.0) and steals (2.3) and was named Most Valuable Player in four tournaments.

The 6 foot 8 inch forward averaged 14.7 points and 120. rebounds per game for the Lancers. Was an effective scorer from the outside as well as the inside.

All-around athlete was a potent scorer for the region champs, averaging 15.3 per contest.

Super-athletic player was a threat to dunk on anyone who dared to stop him. Averaged 15.5 points, 2.2 assists and 2.1 steals per outing.
Ryan McTavish

A repeat All-Gazette first teamer and one of Carroll County's better players, McTavish posted numbers of 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers.

Good Counsel transfer stepped his game up during the late-season and playoffs, finishing with averages of 13.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Tallied 20 points and 11 reboudnds in the state semi.
Kevin Sowers

A solid floor leader and scorer, Sowers rung up huge numbers for the Hawks, including a team-best 19.7 points per game and 5.6 assists. Also grabbed 2.7 steals per game.

At 6-4,Talley was an imposing prescence near the basket, registering 16.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game.
