Town hits small jackpot Wednesday, March 15, 2006 The town of Kensington was made aware of uncollected property tax from the Kaiser Permanente group (‘‘Town wants to collect taxes on property partly in its borders,” Feb. 15 story).
Only a portion of the Kaiser building is in the town limits, but the town is still entitled to that ratio of tax. Because of this, the town is up $11,000 per year in revenue.
Now this is small lottery ticket that Councilman Al Carr got for us. Mr. Carr took the initiative to investigate the matter and discovered the positive outcome. Thank you Councilman Carr.
