Bethesda resident named chair of Lourie Center governing boardPaula S. Widerlite of Bethesda has been named Chair of the Governing Board for the Reginald S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young Children, located in Rockville. The center, a member of Rockville-based Adventist HealthCare, specializes in the assessment, treatment and prevention of emotional, behavioral and developmental problems in infants and young children. Widerlite is the vice president of System Strategy for Adventist HealthCare. She has been with the organization since 1992. In her current position, she provides leadership and direction in strategic planning, marketing, communications and government relations⁄public policy. In addition, Widerlite is active in the community as a graduate of Leadership Montgomery, Class of 2005; a board member of Leadership Montgomery 2007; a board member of the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health Foundation; former Chair of Community Services for the Bullis School; and the Vice President of the Bullis Parents Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Trinity College. Catholic Charities honors Clark Construction Catholic Charities Foundation honored the Clark Construction Group and the Clark Charitable Foundation with the Voice of Hope Award for their work in giving to Catholic Charities. The award, presented this year by Donald W. Wuerl, the Archbishop of Washington, is given each year to a donor who has supported Catholic Charities for many years with financial and in-kind donations, including working with specific programs in a volunteer capacity. Clark Construction of Bethesda has been a partner of the Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Program at Catholic Charities’ Spanish Catholic Center during the program’s five-year existence. Additionally, The Clark Charitable Foundation has given generously to Catholic Charities, setting the bar high for major gifts to the agency. Windshield repair business cracks Franchise 500 SuperGlass Windshield Repair, a nationwide repair franchise with a location at 8023 Thornley Court, was ranked 200 in the Annual Franchise 500 rankings issued by Entrepreneur Magazine. Most of SuperGlass’s customers in Bethesda area commercial fleets and car dealers, however owner Larry Ondrejko’s franchise also services car owners on a mobile basis to their home or workplace.
