Rockville city police reports
The following is a summary of incidents to which Rockville City Police responded during the past few weeks. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Illegal Drug Arrests
-Feb. 18, 3:18 p.m., three male juveniles, two age 14 and one age 15, all of Rockville, were arrested for alleged possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) following a complaint in the 1200 block of Gladstone Drive. The juveniles were transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released to the custody of their parents.
-Feb. 26, 8:38 p.m., Michael Ray Land, 18, of Rockville was arrested for alleged possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) and John Weaver Land, 19, also of Rockville was arrested for alleged underage possession of alcohol following a complaint in the 2000 block of Veirs Mill Road. John Land was issued a criminal citation. Michael Land was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.
Weapons Arrests
-Feb. 22, 3 p.m., Arthur Phillip Bell, 19, of Olney was arrested for alleged possession of concealed weapon (BB gun) following a complaint in the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway.
Assault Arrests
-Feb. 19, 11:51 a.m., male juvenile, 17, of Rockville was arrested for alleged second-degree assault and alleged possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (marijuana) following a complaint in the 2100 block of Baltimore Road. The juvenile was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released to the custody of his grandmother.
DUI Arrests
-Feb. 24, 10:05 p.m., William Lyles Worthington III, 21, of Derwood was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following an accident at the intersection of Southlawn Lane and East Gude Drive.
-March 1, 2:30 a.m., Fernando Aguilur Cortez, 24, of Silver Spring was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Broadwood Drive.
Other arrests
-Feb. 25, 4:40 p.m., male juvenile, 16, and male juvenile, 15, both of Rockville, were arrested for alleged possession of alcohol by a minor following a complaint in the 300 block of North Washington Street. The juveniles were issued citations and released at the scene to the custody of their parents.
-Feb. 26, 12:15 p.m., Jeffrey Cameron-Joseph Land, 44, of Baltimore was arrested for alleged public urination and alleged disorderly intoxication following a complaint in the 500 block of North Washington Street. He was issued a criminal citation and released.
-Feb. 27, 2:57 p.m., Mary Theresa Nyanchoka, 52, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct following a complaint in the 700 block of Hungerford Drive.
Thefts
-Between Feb. 17 and 24, 400 block of Mount Vernon Place, unknown person(s) removed a 20-foot ladder from a vehicle.
-Feb. 21, between noon and 1 p.m., 400 block of College Parkway, unknown person(s) removed a laptop from a group home.
-Between Feb. 23 and 24, 200 block of Monroe Street, unknown person(s) removed an iPod from a desk in an office.
-Feb. 24, between 11:10 and 11:17 a.m., 600 block of Hungerford Drive, unknown person(s) removed merchandise from a grocery store.
-Feb. 24, between 3 and 7:06 p.m., unit block of Mannakee Street, unknown person(s) removed a purse containing a wallet, credit cards, an ID card and money from a classroom at a college.
-Between Feb. 24 and 25, 1000 block of Rockville Pike, unknown person(s) removed a tire and rim from a vehicle.
-Feb. 26, between 9:50 and 10:05 p.m., unit block of Southlawn Court, unknown person(s) removed wallet containing money and two checks that was left unattended with some clothing at a soccer field.
-Feb. 28, between 10:10 and 10:15 a.m., unit block of Maryland Avenue, unknown person(s) removed a MP3 player with case and a set of earphones, three magazines, bottled water and a key from an unattended treadmill at a gym.
-Feb. 28, between 12:45 and 12:50 p.m., 1500 block of Rockville Pike, unknown person(s) removed two pillows and five window panels from a retail store.
Burglaries
-Between Feb. 19 and 22, 2100 block of Lewis Avenue, unknown person(s) gained access to an unlocked shed and removed a welder and a jackhammer.
-Between Feb. 21 and 22, 100 block of South Washington Street, unknown person(s) gained access through an unsecured front window of a church and removed money.
-Between Feb. 25 and 28, 700 block of Fallsgrove Drive, unknown persons) gained access by prying the front door of an apartment and removed a television.
-Feb. 26, between 12:01 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., 700 block of Fallsgrove Drive, unknown person(s) gained access by unknown means into an apartment and removed a handgun.
